1) Staff building PIP sponsorship is open to all companies looking to
add a bright and experienced young person to their staff. Each intern will serve
for 6 months in the Czech Parliament and then will serve in the office of a
sponsor for an additional 2 months. This is the sponsor's opportunity to evaluate
the intern and his/ her potential benefit to the sponsoring company. In return
for supporting the PIP the sponsoring organization receives a multi-lingual,
politically knowledgeable and professional potential employee. Sponsorship of
the program is USD 2,000 for the period October 2001-September 2002.
2) Representation in Parliament PIP sponsors will be known to the Members
of Parliament and Committees working with the project. The PIP is seen as a
vital tool in the work of the Parliament and there are substantial public relations
benefits to sponsoring organizations.
3) Data base Access The PIP was started in 1996. From that time until
the present CDFE has kept an updated and current database of project participants.
This database has been used by the Parliament and sponsoring organization in
the past to find qualified staff. In return for sponsorship, CDFE will offer
access to the PIP database to a sponsoring company; giving the sponsor not only
access to the 2001-2002 program, but to all former interns. Confidentiality
and Conflict of Interest In order to protect both the Members of Parliament
participating in the program and the sponsoring organizations, CDFE will insure
that there is no contact between the intern and the sponsoring organization
during the Parliament phase of the program. CDFE will promote the sponsoring
organization in the parliament while keeping the interns free from any conflict
of interest.
