The Parliamentary Internship Program 1999-2000

In 1996, the Center for Democracy and Free Enterprise introduced the idea of Parliamentary interns in the Czech Parliament with the Parliamentary Internship Initiative (PII). This project provided individual interns for various member of the Chamber of Deputies. The PII provided low-cost, highly qualified advisors to selected Members of Parliament, and greatly assisted the process of transition in the Czech Parliament. The PII was conducted for 2 years with a good deal of success.
